Mark your calendars!!!

Hello! Hope you all had a good Christmas and New Years. I sure enjoyed my little vacation to Hong Kong! Anyways, I know it's been awhile, but I have big news for you all...

I finally found a good Korean guy, we fell madly in love, and now we're getting married! This month! Haha, like that's ever going to happen. Anyways, no, I'm coming back to the states!!!! Yay! 앗싸! I know I was supposed to be in Korea for one year, but things didn't work out the way I expected them to.

Here's the breakdown:

The school I work for went bankrupt. They closed down the school on my birthday! They still haven't paid me my last month's salary. They won't pay for the airfare home. They "can't" transfer my Visa documents over to my new school (more on this later..). And to top things off, they want me out of my apartment. Sigh...

In spite of all the negative, there's gotta be some good to all this, right? And there is! I get to come back to the states! And the big day is JANUARY 16! I paid more than a million KRW for my flight back, but when it comes down to it, it's so worth it. I can't wait to see my family and friends, and just be around the people that I love most. Don't get me wrong, I love it here in Korea, but there's no place like home.

But, I'm only home until March, or until I get a new E-2 visa. I didn't want to leave Korea on this sour note; I didn't think my first experience here would end up like this. So... I found a new school in a new city that pays more and I'll also be working with younger kids (even better)! That's why I'll be coming back to Korea; the new contract starts in March. But, there are so many things I want to do when I get back, so many people I want to see, so many things I want to eat... and I only have less than 2 months, so mark your calendars and let's make this happen! Vroom vroom, here we go!
